Who we are

Who are the Knights?

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization with over 1.8 million members.  Uncompromisingly pro-life, it provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

The Knights of Columbus Council 12873 hosts a large number activities throughout the year, including golf outings, pancake breakfast, dinners and other charity drives which raises funds for charities.

About our council:

We were founded on March 8th, 2000 through the efforts of a group of men at the Church of St. Therese, to more closely associate ourselves with our home parish. Since its founding, the council has cared for brothers and their families in sickness and in death. We have supported our pastors and given countless hours to our parish. We have donated over $65,000 with the principle beneficiaries being our church, the V.A. Hospital, the Blinded Veterans, Birthline and our seminarians.

Council meetings:

The council meets for an officer meeting on the first Thursday (at 7 PM) at church.  All council members are welcome to attend.

The council meets for a  business meeting on the second Thursday (at 7 PM) in classroom 2 at church. Social meeting is held after council meeting.

Knights insurance:

When our organization began, in order to help each other, our members "passed the hat" to assist families of deceased members. Soon, however, this became impossible, as the number of our members grew.

Out of this simple process, we've evolved into a modern, dynamic insurance organization, and offer a wide variety of products to suit virtually everyone's needs.
